Veterans Day

The Point of Veterans Day is to celebrate all of the Veterans serving in the armed forces or the fallen Veterans. It honors Armistice Day or the end of World War I. Later in 1938, everyone agreed to change “Armistice” to “Veterans”. Every year Veterans Day it on November 11. This day came to be on November 11, 1938.To celebrate, there are parades and speeches along the United States of America.
     On November 11, 1921, an unidentified American soldier killed in the war was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.  It is called the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  This “unknown solider” usually has the president or some kind of congress member visit his grave.

C. S. Lewis (about)

     C. S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis) was an intelligent book writer. He was born in Belfast Ireland on November 29, 1898. He was accepted to a boarding at Campbell College at the age of ten, but withdrew one year later. About three years later Clive enrolled in Malvern College where he stayed for about one year. He became an atheist. He started to take a private tutoring class that his father had gone to.
     Clive went in to the army and got wounded in the Battle of Arras. Later he was discharged in 1920.
     In May 1925, Lewis was chosen Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University, where he served for twenty-nine years until 1954. He was married at the age of 58. His spouse was Joy Davidman Gresham. After fighting bone cancer Joy pasted away in 1960. After Joy had died Clive still took care of his two sons.
     Clive Staples Lewis died at his home on November 22, 1963. Buried next to his true brother. They may rest and in piece

the mouse story -Lauren P.

     This is a story about two mouses. They both have different life stlyes. In the beginning the country mouse and city mouse where introduced.The city mouse wasn't happy how the country mouse lived.At the city mouses house had traps, cats, and cooksthat would kill them!Country mouse decided to go back home.The Country mouse decide to stay home and eat Barly and rice forever.
